Renowned author, journalist and co-founder with Gloria Steinem of Ms. Magazine, Letty Cottin Pogrebin, will discuss and sign her new book:

How to Be a Friend to a Friend Who’s Sick, following her recent interviews on The Today Show and The Brian Lehrer Show.  This warm and sympathetic book is an invaluable guide for anyone hoping to rise to the challenges of this most important and demanding passage of friendship.  It offers fresh insights and concrete advice on how to relate to and help our sick friends.

Co-sponsored with Project Continuum, the event will take place in the Helene Kaplan Tower, Sulzberger Hall, 16th Floor on Barnard’s campus.  Light refreshments will be served.  Copies of the book will be available at $12.50, half  the list price.  You may purchase more than one book for Ms. Pogrebin to sign.

No fee, guests are welcome; advance registration is required so your name will be on the guest list.  Register by e-mailing alumnaeaffairs@barnard.edu or by calling (212) 854-2005.   BCCNY is not accepting reservations for this event.
