Docent Tour of Frida Kahlo: Appearances Can Be Deceiving
Brooklyn Museum, 200 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn
Take the #2 or #3 subway to Eastern Parkway/Brooklyn Museum stop. The museum is in front of the station.
Join BCCNY members and alumnae for this major exhibition of Kahlo’s personal objects, clothing and jewelry along with ten major paintings and a selection of drawings and photographs. It is based on the earlier exhibit at the Victoria & Albert Museum, Frida Kahlo: Making Her Self Up.
$27 for members; $32 for non-members, includes admission fee and docent tour.
Meet at the far right end of the admission desk promptly at 11:30 AM for the 11:45 AM tour group check-in and at 12:00 PM for the 12:15 PM group tour check-in. You will be advised by BCCNY which group you are in. If you are not present for your tour’s group check-in, you will not be admitted to the exhibition area to begin the docent tour.
Optional lunch will follow at The Norm restaurant in the museum. Please indicate with your RSVP if you will be having lunch with us.
