Saturday, March 24 – 11:30 AM Tour of “David Bowie Is” Exhibit
Brooklyn Museum, 200 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn (Take the #2 or #3 subway to the Eastern Parkway/Brooklyn Museum stop. The museum is in front of the station. Space is limited.) Join Barnard College Club members and alumnae for a tour of this blockbuster exhibit that follows the entire career of the cultural and music icon David Bowie on its final US showing. Organized by the Victoria & Albert Museum, it presents 400 objects drawn from the David Bowie Archive, tracing Bowie’s creative process from his teenage years in England through his last twenty years in New York City. $25 for members; $30 for non-BCCNY members. Includes admission, tour and high fidelity Sennheiser audio guide. Meet at the far right end of the admission desk promptly at 11:30 AM for group check-in. Admission is scheduled in 15-minute intervals. If you are not present for the group check-in, you will not be admitted to the exhibition area to begin the tour. Optional Dutch treat brunch will follow at the Norm restaurant in the museum. Please indicate with your RSVP if you will be staying for brunch.
