Walking Tour of Yorkville by Licensed Tour Guide Robert Brenner
Two hour guided tour entitled Nazi New York will explore the famous Upper East Side German neighborhood that was inhabited by Nazis during World War II. Prior to World War II, New York City was a hotbed of Nazis, fascists and anti-Semites; even after Pearl Harbor some remained active, albeit more discreetly. A few were secretly working for German military intelligence, but most were homegrown. Find out who they were and where they lived.
$25 members; $30 non-members. Meet at 10:45 AM on the southeast corner of Second Ave. and East 86th Street, in front of Gracie’s on 2nd Diner. Space is limited. Optional lunch will follow the tour at Heidelberg Restaurant, 1648 Second Ave. at East 86th Street.
